Ingredients - my published haiku, tanka, haibun and the occasional piece of writing that fits none of those categories.
after the performancethe stage -emptier than before
I really like this one -- I used to be involved in community theater and I always noticed how quiet a stage is after the audience and the actors leave.
as a theatre major, i definately know this silence well.it's always both sad and pleasant.strange.
Thanks to you both, I'm glad to have caught something that others recognise!
There is something about a stage silence isn't there when everyone has gone.Sometimes, it's also hard to imagine the atmosphere when you are there early before anyone else comes in to do the set up.Were you doing Shakespeare, Panto, or something contemporary, not that the other two are anything but, in many ways!
Alan, you know me better than that. I was doing 'audience'! It was Louis Sachar's 'Holes' and very good it was too.
Aha, there was I thinking I had caught you out too!Why not try out this game based on 'Holes" Holes nickname game
this is a great representation. i can almost see how dark the stage is
